Guild Charter
Shadow Wind is an international, semi-raiding, casual players guild on Runnyeye server consisting of both Freeport and Qeynos factions in balanced matter, started in Freeport. Our goal is to create a compact community of players that are friends or even families in real life, and help them to enjoy all aspects of the game mainly through the organization and friendly atmosphere (quests, raids, events, role play, crafting, etc.) still keeping in mind that this is 'just a game'.
We are not "hardcore" players or "raiding" focused type of guild and have no intention to become one or implement any rules promoting this play-style. The guild has no requirements on event attendance, playtime or activity level.
As a guild we can offer a community of players that will group with you, help you pass through various challenging tasks in game, give advice, chat, allow you to access guild only benefits like houses/horses and have fun. We expect you to help keep and develop the above, behave and represent the guild in a manner we can be proud of at any time.

Membership
- Application - You are welcome to apply for membership in our public forum, please see the Recruitment Status document for more details on how we recruit at the time. Fill in basic information about yourself in the Request Access-Membership forum. In case we like you, you will be invited to our guild as an initiate. Normally our trial period is one month, however we reserve the right to amend this (longer/shorter) based on individual performance. Please note that from time to time we have to close our forum to non-members due to spam posts from outside. If you are unable to post, please contact one of our guild recruiters in game.
- Current in game recruiters
- Each of the officers noted above are guild recruiters and can be contacted in game. To facilitate membership, the alternate characters of officers also appear as guild recruiters.
- Termination - We try to keep the guild roster up-to-date. Characters that are not active anymore are removed from the guild and are invited back on re-activation. Character is considered inactive when the player informs the guild of this, or, after being AFK without notice, for an excessive period, when the following actions may be taken...
- Over 40 days - may be demoted.
- Over 60 days - may be removed from the guild (Leader discression)
- Trial period - players in trial period/initiates may be removed from the guild without explanation, based upon single Shadow Wind Officer decision. Any other player may be removed from the guild based on representatives agreement – considered “more serious case” bellow in decision process.
- Alternative characters - if guilded, are kept in Secondary Character rank so it is clear how many active players we have. Note main character's name in your alt comment please.
Use of macros
Unattended macroing is activity forbidden by SOE and punished by ban of the character/account. Please prevent any situation that would get co-guildies into sharing shame or possible punishment for this or any other SOE un-supported activities.
Language and time zone
- The only language used in guild channel and raid channels is: English
- Local languages if needed can be used in custom national channels only like: swpt, swru, swcz,...
- Guild joint activites (raids/quest) are focused to happen to comfort euro based players
Decision process
- Rules enforcements or pre-agreed moves: Anyone of the guild representatives alone can do.
- For low severity cases: Any officer may provide a warning of percieved missconduct. This action will be noted by the officers. Subsequent offences may lead to demotion or dissmissal as below.
- For medium severity cases: Two officers OR One Senior Officer will decide on the case. You will be informed that this is your one and only warning. You are now considered to be 'in your trial period' again, although to save public embarassment regarding genuine mistakes, your rank will not be changed. (See Trial Period Above!)
- For High Severity Cases: Bringing the guild into dissrepute and conduct unbecomming to fellow guild members will not be tollerated. You will be dismissed without discussion or recourse. You have been warned.
- For guild fundamental changes: The situation is pre-discussed on forum with all players able to express their ideas and concerns in advance and decision is taken later when:
- either one GL and at least three officers agree on the subject
- guild wide poll is taken - result rules
- In all cases the decisions with explanation why it was taken is to be posted and can be subject of broader discussion.
Guild bank usage
Space in our guild banks is limited. As such we try to make best use of the space available to us. We opperate an ongoing cleaning process. Items placed in guild banks 2, 3 & 4 will be moved down one row each week by a Shadow Guardian (or Leader). Items which fall off the bottom row of a bank may be sold, and the proceeds placed in the guild fund (held in GB1)
Bank 1 - limited access
Guild bank 1 is used for: guild/raid bank cash, valuable items with controlled distribution (those in auction etc.), potions that we summon for raids, etc. Only GL's and Officers may use this part of the bank.
Bank 2 - trading place
Guild bank 2 is used for trades between guild members so they do not have to mail it or meet to do real trade. Items here are not 'free for all', they just wait there for the trade counter part to collect them.
Associated rules of conduct:
- Only take items you are agreed with the other person as to trade this way. Make the transaction swift, do not use it as vault to keep items there so cleaning process does not effect you.
Bank 3 and 4 - no restrictions
Guild bank 3 and 4 is used for Adept spells, various items people offer to their fellows. Please do not place items there with low value like regular harvest, etc.
Associated rules of conduct:
- Take just items you need. Do not take items to sell them. Do not take armor/weapons items that you cannot equip now. Do not take spell adepts more then your current level +5. Do not take items for your friends. (It messes up the bank log.) Note, players in trial cannot access bank 3, so for semi-secure items, use bank 3.
Game conduct
Players are urged to behave properly in game and represent the guild in a manner that allows other players to respect us. Please avoid any moves such as:
- flaming on in-game channels or public forums
- kill/node stealing or similar moves that rightfully can be considered as hostile
- rude or aggressive expressions at any form or language
NOTE: For rule purposes, these are considered medium severity cases as a MINIMUM. Serious infractions will result in dismissal.
In case the situation is not clear and you are not able to reach an agreement, please prove to be the wise and mature player and remain calm and contact guild representatives for support. Violating the above would harm the whole guild reputation and as we all know 'once done it is hard to repair', so make sure your move cannot be interpreted in a negative way, even when you are convinced you are right.
Some rules are hard to put in words so please find more detailed explanation on one of them bellow, to understand its purpose and act based on that.
Raid behavior
While bidding please avoid any move that may be considered as manipulating the bidding outcome, such as:
- convincing players they should or should not bid
- explaining someone has more points then the other, so at the end he/she can outbid
- trade-off agreements on not-competing
- etc.
It is unfair and fault use of the existing rules and as such would be subject to disciplinary action
